New Year in Carrbridge: 2013/14

Another week of scrambling, skiing and merriment over.
First plan of the week was to try a wee bit of skiing.  An early start saw Kevin and me well up in the top carpark.  James must have had an earlier start, coming up from Ayr and arriving just after us.  Several plan were quickly considered but with the low cloud we opted to head up the Fiacaill a' Choire Chais and head over to Lurchers Gully via Coire an t-Sneachda and Coire an Lochan.  Only problem, James only had down-hill gear, but the walk was good training.
Good hard packed snow, some icy bits and a few boulders sticking up made the trip a good mountaineering day.
