Uphill Ski section in the sun

Part of the Uphill ski team take to Meall a Bhuiridh, Glencoe.  We skied up to the bottom of the Flypaper run then headed east for a great run down towards Creag an Fhirich on soft sugary snow.
Unfortunately the further down you go the more you you have to go up.  We climbed the east ridge to the top before heading down to the cafe for a wee rest.

 Dalwhinnie Meet: February 2015

SMC Raeburn hut.
Glorious day on Saturday, so a team of John, Frank, Len and self (Carole) set off for the two Corbetts of Corrieyairick Hill and Gairbeinn. Lovely drive via Laggan and Garva Bridge to paking spot at Melgarve. 100s of deer added to the remote and spacious feeling - once you turned your back on the pylons.

Early morning at Melgarve

Len, Frank and John ready for the off - just waiting for me to give them a compass bearing!

Not a cloud in sight over Gairbeinn

2015 Annual Burns Supper

Ohils Mountaineering Club Hut, Crianlarich

Burns' Supper meet this weekend.  Some walking, some skin and some serious high street direct ascents achieved.
Great weekend, a wee bit breezy on the hill but the hut was lovely and cozy.

First Weekend on the hill of 2015

The first weekend of 2015 saw members of the club enjoying the snow on different hills;
Saturday saw Kevin and team take their bikes past Auch farm to Beinns Mhanach and a'Chiurn.
Sunday saw Dunc and Alan C head to the Trossachs and Stuc a' Choirn.  While over on Loch Lomond Frank, Ian MacG and me (Allan H) took on Ben Vane.
The pictures below are of the Ben Vane team.

Wee Up-Hill ski day out on Geal-charn, last day out of 2014

Early start, make a plan up as we drive.  Decision head up the A9 and go for Geal-charn.  Lots of other people out on skis and a few on foot.

Always time for a wee second breakfast before we start.
Scottish skiing isn't alway easy
